Fuse Cut-Out The primary purpose of any cutout is to provide protection to the lines of yours system and the various apparatus on those lines such as transformers, capacitors banks, etc. WESCOSA / licenses A. B. chance TYPE C CUTOUTS provides reliable protection from low level over loads that just melt the fuse line, through intermediate faults and very high faults up though minimum interrupt capacity. in addition, TYPE C SUTOUTS can also be used asectionalizing device, with the use of a portable loadbreak tool C cutouts can function much like an overhead disconnect switch. There are 300 amp disconnect blade TYPE C CUTOUTS available. Galvanized steel hooks are standard on every C cutouts use with a portable load break tool. RATING / SPECIFICATIONSTYPE C CUTOUTS have maximum design voltage ratings to simplify the confusing ratings of cutouts. There are NO RESTRICTIONS on application to grounded wye, un-grouded wye, or delta systems having maximum operating voltages (line-to-line) equal to or less that the cutout maximum design voltage rating. interruption tests have been performed at full system line-to-line voltage.
